Robert Hensley-King research interests include the New Hollywood, antiheroes, history, and representation in film.

He holds a PhD from Ghent University, where he completed his dissertation, ‘Liminal Saints and Sinners: A Close Analysis of the New Hollywood Antihero, 1967-1977.’ He also holds an MA in the History of Film and Visual Media from Birkbeck, University of London in the UK and a Licentiate in Philosophy and Theology from the Studium Augustinianum, Spain.

Robert spent time as a visiting doctoral student at Harvard University and Boston College. He has lectured on film at the University of Toronto, Sheridan College, and the online MA program at the University of Edinburgh.

Beyond academia, Robert enjoys photography. His work has been exhibited and published in books and online.
