Interlibrary loan (ILL)

Are you looking for an article, chapter, or book that the university library does not have in its collection? Request it from another library via interlibrary loan (ILL).

Articles and chapters are delivered digitally, while complete books are delivered physically to the faculty library information desk. You will receive a notification as soon as the book is ready for pickup.

The catalogue allows you to include records from other libraries. If you search lib.ugent.be and then find an item without UGent access in your search results, you will see a button labeled “Request from other libraries”. Click on this button to display the ILL request button on the details page. You can also make a manual ILL-request with the form.

ILL is free of charge for all holders of a UGent account. For other users holding a library card an ILL delivery fee of € 10 applies.
