Fact-finding in Civil Proceedings in Belgium, France, Germany and The Netherlands

Since the end of 2022, Professor Wannes Vandenbussche contributes to an international research project, led by Judge Cindy Seinen (Rechtbank Den Haag/Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), analysing the different approaches of Belgian, French, German and Dutch courts to fact-finding in civil proceedings on a comparative legal basis.
The project is funded by the Dutch Association for Procedural Law (Nederlandse Vereniging voor Procesrecht). Other participants in the project are Professor Christian Gomille (Universität des Saarlandes) and Professor Frédéric Rouvière (Aix-Marseille Université).
