Resit Exams
2 examination opportunities per course
For each course unit for which you did not obtain a credit certificate during the first-semester examination period or second-semester examination period (with the exception of exemptions and previously obtained credits), you may resit in the resit examination period.
Therefore, you cannot retake a course for which you obtained a credit certificate.
Not for outgoing exchange students
As an outgoing exchange student, you are entitled to the number of examination opportunities offered by the host institution.
An additional examination opportunity at UGent is not possible.
Failed in first- or second-semester examination period: register for resit exams
For each resit exam in which you will participate, you will have to register by 8 August 2025, at the latest (date academic year 2024-2025).
Registering for exams during the resit exam period:
- Via oasis.ugent.be > Configuration schedule groups
- From the day after the public announcement of exam results until 8 August 2025 (date academic year 2024-2025)
Failed for continuous evaluation?
For non-period evaluation of a course unit (continuous evaluation), it is possible that the resit examination opportunity consists of a compensatory activity between first-semester examination period or second-semester examination period and the resit examination period, or that you get only one examination opportunity (will be mentioned in the course study sheet).
No transfer of examination marks less than 10
Exam grades of less than 10 out of 20 will not be carried over to a subsequent examination period or academic year (in practice, therefore, a tube - not deliberated - will be returned to the grade 0).
