Academic Software
Via Academic Software, all Ghent University students can download and install a wide range of software on their personal computers. The intention is that this software platform will eventually replace the offering on Athena.
Available software
An overview of the available software can be found at the website of Academic Software (under “Software”) after logging in with your Ghent University email address:
- My software = software that you can download and install for free on your computer (because Ghent University centrally funds these licenses and makes them available, as on Athena).
- Add software = software that you can download and install after:
- redeeming a licence code that you will receive from your faculty (coming soon).
- purchasing it on your personal budget (at attractive terms).
Installation
The software platform clearly states the specific installation instructions for each application.
