With your UGent account, students have access to various educational tools and software platforms. You can also find information about a range of ICT services on the ICT Helpdesk website.

- Print, copy and scan documents via myPrint
- Network drives for data storage
- H:-drive for the storage of personal, study and work related documents (your personal disk space or homedrive)
- W:-drive for setting up a personal website
- Your work or school account on OneDrive (1 TB of storage space in the cloud)
- Shared mailbox for student associations
- Virtual server: student associations can request a virtual server from ICT via the system administrator of the Student Activities Office (DSA). The DSA must always list a staff member (e.g. the Director of Student Facilities) as the contact person on the request.
Recommendations
- As a student at Ghent University, you need a laptop. For most programmes, a basic model that works well is sufficient. Some programmes require a more advanced model
