Doctor of Science (D.Sc.)

You will obtain the title of Doctor of Science: Geology after a period of independent study and scientific research in a domain of choice, following on your master study. The doctorate in the first place means pervading to the core of scientific research and looking for solutions of specific problems. After a period of 4 to 5 years you will write down the result in a dissertation, which you will defend before a jury. For the daily practice, you receive a reasonable compensation, in either a scholarship  or as assistant at the university, or if you are active in a certain research project.

Master-after-master

Those with a master diploma who want to continue studying, can follow a master-after-master. Examples of where you can go to are: 

  • Master of statistical analysis
  • Master in maritime sciences
