Opportunities
ANSER Stakeholder Meeting
Every year ANSER organises an SRHR stakeholder meeting. The meeting has a double aim:
- Updating a wide variety of stakeholders, like policy makers, civil society and health practitioners on recent evidence on sexual and reproductive health generated by ANSER
- Hear from all stakeholders what data gaps they experience in their work and what SRHR issues they believe ANSER should prioritise in the coming year. That way the network expands the voices and participation of non-academics in research, by seeking feedback on SRHR evidence needs in society.
The report of the 2021 stakeholder meeting can be found here.

Education and training
ANSER Doctoral School
On a bi-annual basis ANSER organises a Doctoral School on 'Global sexual and reproductive health & rights'.
Understanding of how sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) are shaped, and its effects on future generations is crucial for all researchers involved in global health, maternal health and many other areas related to health. This course will provide participants with practical and theoretical tools as well as background to review and carry out strong research in SRHR.
More information on the ANSER Doctoral School 2022 can be found here.
Summer School Ghent
Each summer the Belgian Medical Students Association (BeMSA) and ANSER welcome students from all over the world for a 12-day educational program on ‘Reproductive Health & Rights’. The goal is to provide an unforgettable experience by broadening students’ view on the subject in an interesting multicultural setting.
