Baraa Almoujahed

Mhd Baraa Almoujahed holds a Ph.D. in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University, Belgium, with expertise in applying machine learning and sensor-based approaches for the early detection and spatial modeling of plant diseases and mycotoxin contamination in cereals. Skilled in sensor data fusion, spectral and molecular data analysis, and advanced algorithm development using Python and machine learning libraries.
Currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University, supported by an IOF Industrial Research Fund fellowship. His project, iFungi, focuses on developing a variable rate fungicide spraying system for precision fungal disease management, with the goal of launching a spin-off company.
