Kudrat Ullah Jim
Kudrat Ullah Jim is a doctoral researcher in Bioscience Engineering with an interdisciplinary background in environmental technology and engineering. He holds an Erasmus Mundus joint Master’s degree in Environmental Technology and Engineering, completed at Ghent University, IHE Delft, and the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague. His research focuses on soil nitrogen dynamics, nitrogen mineralization, and greenhouse gas fluxes in agricultural systems, with a particular interest in integrating proximal soil-sensing techniques, such as Vis–NIR and MIR spectroscopy, with machine learning approaches to support precision agriculture. He has hands-on experience in soil incubation experiments, greenhouse gas measurements, and data-driven modelling using artificial neural networks and tree-based machine learning methods. His broader interests include data-driven sustainable nutrient management, soil biogeochemistry, and climate-smart agriculture.
