Muhammad Ali
Muhammad Ali holds a PhD in Bioscience Engineering from Ghent University, Belgium, and both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. His specialization lies in subsoil compaction remediation technologies, with a strong interest in precision agriculture and agricultural machinery innovation.
He is currently a postdoctoral researcher supported by an IOF (Industrial Research Fund) fellowship under the supervision of Professor Abdul Mouazen within the Precision Scoring Group (PRESCO) at Ghent University. His ongoing research project, DeepYield, focuses on mitigating subsoil compaction, enhancing soil quality, and improving crop yield using a novel pneumatic vertical hole drilling machine. The project aims to translate this technology into a future spin-off.
Ali’s academic and research interests include precision agriculture, tillage machinery, soil–machine interaction, and energy optimization, with a particular emphasis on advancing sustainable, technology-driven solutions for modern agriculture.
