Yongsheng Hong

Yongsheng is currently a Ph.D. student at the School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, Wuhan University, China. He received the support of the China Scholarship Council for one years' of Ph.D. study in Department of Environment, Ghent University from September 2019 to September 2020, studying in Precision Scoring Team. During the last five years, he has been involved in the field of applied earth observation through proximal soil sensors, airborne hyperspectral, and satellite multispectral images.  He has experiences in spectral processing, machine learning, data mining, and spatial analysis, focusing on estimation and mapping of soil properties (such as soil organic carbon and potentially toxic elements in soils).
