Susana Endah Ratnawati PhD studentSusana’s research field is quality monitoring of seafood products.

She received a Master of Science degree from Magister of Coastal Management Resources, Diponegoro University in 2011. Since 2014 she has been a staff member of the Fisheries Department, Gadjah Mada University. Funded by the BPP-LN DIKTI scholarship program from the Indonesian Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, she registered as a PhD student in the Food Microbiology and Food Preservation Research Unit, Department of Food Technology, Safety and Health in 2019.

Her interdisciplinary study focuses on defining novel packaging concepts for bivalves by identifying quality indices that closely link with spoilage. The production of volatolome and other spoilage markers has been assessed and expected to contribute to the criteria development for packed bivalves.
