Marie-Paule BOUCHE

M.-P. Bouche has been working on the analysis of volatile inhalation anesthetics, more in particular degradation products thereof, in gasflows of low-flow anesthesia systems in the operating theatre. GC-MS based analytical methods for the quantitative analysis of Compound A, a breakdown product of sevoflurane, have been developped and are clinically applied.

Dr. Bouche has finished her Ph.D., concerning Compound A, in 2002. She continued working at the lab in research projects related to Compound A but shifted her interests from GC-MS to LC-MS. In that respect, the development and application of bio-analytical methods for xenobiotics in a pharmacokinetical and toxicological setting are main study objectives. Since mid 2003, she moved to Johnson & Johnson's bio-analytical department, Beerse, Belgium.
