Annelies graduated in 2012 as Master in Drug Development at Ghent University. She started working at the Laboratory of Toxicology in 2012 searching for alternative screening approaches for the detection of new psychoactive substances using G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) activation assays. In 2018, she obtained her doctoral degree and currently she is continuing her work as a FWO post-doctoral researcher.
