10:00 - 12:00: Introduction to HPC-UGent presentation + Q&A
- Overview of available hardware, getting an account, using the systems, getting support, demos and examples, ...

12:00 - 13:00: sandwich lunch
13:00 - 14:00: tour of UGent datacenter, incl. visit to HPC-UGent Tier-2 and VSC Tier-1 clusters
14:00 - 17:00: hands-on session: Getting started with HPC-UGent
- Login + submiting example jobs
- Getting started with your own workloads

No specific prior knowledge is required.

It is strongly recommended to have an active VSC account.

You should bring your own laptop to join the hands-on session if you are attending physically.

This course can be followed as part of the Ghent University Doctoral Schools Training Program - transferable skills seminars.

The course will be automatically added to the curriculum of the participating PhD students.

All participants can receive a certificate of attendance upon request via hpc@ugent.be.
