Amanda Adam

Teaching assistant and researcher. Focuses on the aesthetic approach of narrative media in education.

In 2023 I started as an Assistant and PhD candidate in the Culture and Education research group at Ghent University. My educational background includes an Educational Master of Science in Languages and Literature, with a thesis focusing on (post)colonial literary education in Flemish secondary schools.

My research delves into the aesthetic approach of narrative media in Flemish education, utilising new rhetoric as a framework to enhance cultural literacy. As a Teaching Assistant, I provide support for courses in Culture & Education and Culture Studies under Prof. Dr. Kris Rutten.

Outside academia, I actively contribute to cultural organisations, particularly in the realm of film, with affiliations such as Film Fest Gent and Kuleshov. My journey is marked by a commitment to advancing education, enriching cultural literacy, and fostering dialogue through both research and engagement with the cultural community.
