Adinda Van Gaalen

Adinda van Gaalen joined CHEGG as a PhD candidate in October 2016. In her PhD project, she focuses on ethics as an element of internationalisation strategies and discourse in higher education. Her research at CHEGG is informed by her background in organisational studies and internationalisation of higher education.

Adinda holds an MSc degree Culture, Organization and Management, VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands (2000). She is senior policy advisor research at Inholland university of applied sciences in the Netherlands. Previously she was senior policy officer and researcher at Nuffic, the organisation for internationalisation of education in the Netherlands. Adinda has been involved in the development of quality assurance tools for internationalisation. She has (co)authored several publications and works as an independent advisor and trainer. Her main focus is on higher education, but she has also been involved in internationalisation of secondary and vocational education.

Adinda is a member of the European Association of International Education (EAIE), the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE), the Critical Internationalisation Studies Network (CIS), the World Council on Intercultural and Global Competence and the SHE Globalization research group of Maastricht University.
