EU External Action in a Shifting World Order: Legal and Institutional Dynamics

The Ghent European Law Institute (GELI) of Ghent University and the Centre d’études juridiques européennes (CEJE) of the University of Geneva, Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence jointly organise a Doctoral Workshop, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Christine Kaddous, Prof. dr. Inge Govaere (Ghent University) and Prof. Dr. Peter Van Elsuwege (Ghent University), on the topic: “EU External Action in a Shifting World Order: Legal and Institutional Dynamics”.

Background
In a rapidly changing global order, the European Union's role as a global actor is facing increasing challenges and opportunities. From the impact of geopolitical tensions and trade disputes to the EU’s approach to climate change, enlargement, and digital governance, the landscape of EU external relations law continues to evolve.
This workshop provides a platform for PhD researchers to present and receive feedback on work that critically examines legal and institutional developments in EU external action as a response to the shifting world order.
