Relaunch of the BELGIAN EUROPEAN UNION LAW ASSOCIATION with the support of partner universities:

Dear members and those passionate about or interested in European Union law,

We are delighted to announce the relaunch of the Belgian European Union Law Association after several years of inactivity, with the invaluable support of the European law research centers of our partner universities.

The members of the new Board of Directors, formed on 13 December 2023, elected Professors Inge Govaere and Cecilia Rizcallah as President of the association.

The Board of Directors is made up of:

• Paul Dermine, Université Libre de Bruxelles
• Hans Gilliams, avocat, Bruxelles
• Inge Govaere, Universiteit Gent (et Collège d’Europe)
• Cecilia Rizcallah, UC Saint Louis
• Pieter-Augustijn Van Malleghem, Université Catholique de Louvain
• Piet Van Nuffel, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven
• Jonathan Wildemeersch, Université de Liège
• Geert Zonnekeyn, Head of Legal, Athlon Belgium

It is with great enthusiasm  that we are taking up the torch to revitalise this community dedicated to exploring and understanding European law. The association's main objective will be to network the various forces active in European Union law in Belgium, whether in the academic, institutional, bar, judicial or business spheres.
