Laura Hildt
Biografie
Laura Hildt is a part-time PhD researcher on strategic biodiversity litigation where she is exploring opportunities for biodiversity litigation in the context of the EU’s Nature Restoration Law, agriculture and human rights.
She is supervised by Prof. Dr. An Cliquet and Prof. Dr. Hendrik Schoukens.
Laura holds a law degree from the University of Cambridge (2017), an LLM in Public International Law focused on Environmental Law from Utrecht University (2019), an LLM from the University of Mainz, and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2024.
She has worked at the European Environmental Bureau for over seven years on biodiversity policy and law, agriculture litigation, the enforcement of EU environmental law by the Commission, and environmental democracy (2018-2025). Laura also initiated and led the environmental law work stream of Youth and Environment Europe focused on Aarhus rights during 2021-2022. Laura is a member of the SERE Legal Working Group.
