Ting Chen
Biografie
Dr. Ting Chen is a researcher in energy law at Ghent University, specializing in renewable electricity promotion, electricity market regulation, and grid governance.
She holds two Master’s degrees in Energy Law and Environmental Law from the University of Aberdeen and Wuhan University.
Her PhD research focused on legal issues of empowering energy consumers in the context of promoting renewable electricity. Currently, she contributes to the ECOFLEX project, funded by the Belgian Energy Transition Fund. This interdisciplinary project explores how to leverage local flexibility from multi-energy systems and e-mobility assets to support grid balancing and enhance energy security.
Dr. Chen’s work on consumer empowerment and renewable energy law has been published or accepted in leading journals, including Utilities Policy and the Journal of Energy & Natural Resources Law.’
