The Institute for Private International Law (Ghent University) is partner in the research project ‘Cross-Border Proceedings in Family Law Matters before National Courts and CJEU’. The project, under the coordination of the T.M.C. Asser Institute and in cooperation with the International Legal Institute (IJI), the University of Valencia and the University of Utrecht, is financed by the European Commission (2016-2018).

The research findings were presented during the conference ‘Enhancing the Efficiency of Brussels IIbis Regulation’ on 10 November 2017 in Utrecht.

The results of the project are presented in a Guide for Application of the Brussels IIbis Regulation.
This Guide contains the national reports of all EU Member States concerning the application of the Regulation. In addition, the findings are offered in the Recommendations for the revision of the Regulation and the Table of Cases.
