The Marleen Temmerman Fund
The Marleen Temmerman Fund was established as a way for Ghent University to pay tribute to this inspirational academic, and to support the further development of the International Center for Reproductive Rights (ICRH), thereby contributing to the well-being of women and also of men, children, and of society as a whole. The Marleen Temmerman Fund strives for a world where sexual and reproductive health and rights are guaranteed for all, with access to affordable, quality care and the necessary knowledge to make conscious choices for themselves.

For their birthday, UGent alumni Rik and Bea organized a fundraising campaign for the benefit of the Fund.
We already have everything, which is why we felt a donation would be more useful. We admire Marleen Temmerman and her work around female reproductive rights. She provided us with a personal video explaining how the fund works, which helped convince guests at our birthday party to donate. This is a great way to support a good cause and pass on solidarity and social commitment.

Background information
The Marleen Temmerman Fund was set up at Ghent University in 2014 by Professor Piet Hoebeke, Professor Steven Weyers and Mr. Dirk Van Braeckel. The Fund makes it possible to support the activities of the ICRH throughout the world.
Aim
The aim of the Marleen Temmerman Fund is to keep supporting initiatives within Ghent University started by Professor Marleen Temmerman, in particular the ICRH. This both includes support for academic research as well as implementation of projects.
