Beatrijs Moerkerke
Introduction
Beatrijs Moerkerke obtained her master's degree in Mathematics at Ghent University in 2000 and a PhD in Mathematics (Statistics) in 2006. She is currently associate professor in the Department of Data-analysis at Ghent University where she teaches courses in statistics and methodology to students in psychology and educational sciences.
Research
During her PhD, she worked on multiple testing problems in statistical genetics. In her current research, the focus is on causal mediation analysis and the analysis of brain imaging data. In addition, she is Associate Editor of Biometrics, the journal of the International Biometrics Society.
