Re-enrolment

Procedure

From the 1st day after your transcript of records is available, you can electronically re-enrol for the new academic year at http://oasis.ugent.be

It is recommended to re-enrol as soon as possible.

Register on Oasis via your UGent account and all guidelines can be found on Oasis. Click on EN in the top left hand corner for all services in English.

The deadline is September 30.

As of Oct. 1, you must ask the curriculum committee - through your faculty student government - for permission to re-enrol late.

The deadline for late (re)enrolment is the last day of February.

If your address has changed please make sure to update your address on Oasis prior to re-enrolment.

Do you have resit exams?

If you still have exams to take during the resit examination period (August-September), you can only re-enrol after your transcript of records  from that exam period is available,  even if you do not take the re-exams.

GIT (Personalised learning track) and/or re-enrol for subsequent program

Even if your GIT application within the same program, between bachelor and master, between master and advanced master or transition/preparatory program and master, has not yet been approved, you can already re-enrol (only after the resit exam period if you have resits, even if you do not take the re-exams).

However, this is an enrolment under a resolutive condition: if the faculty curriculum committee does not approve enrolment in a (subsequent) program after all, this enrolment will be nullified (your enrolment will be cancelled for the program of the highest level) (Education and Examination Regulations (OER) article 21 §2).

Curriculum

You can submit your proposed curriculum (the courses you want to take up) on Oasis immediately after enrolment.

Confirmation via your UGent mail and payment

After your (re)enrolment you will receive a confirmation email of your (re)enrolment and an invoice (not necessarily at the same time) via your UGent-mail.

This first invoice is the initial tuition fee to be paid.

Pay via bank transfer and mention the structured communication ('gestructureerde mededeling'). Without this structured communication we will not be able to process your payment.

Student Card

Your Student card is valid for 6 years.

Upon re-enrolment, you will only receive a new card if yours is due for replacement.

Enrolment Certificates

After payment of your tuition fee, you can download and print various certificates (enrolment certificate, certificate for NMBS school train card, insurance, etc.) yourself from Oasis

Re-enrolment refusal

Your re-enrolment will be automatically denied for late payments, lack of learning credit and study progress measures.
