Tuition Fee Master Programme (not Advanced) and Master's Programme in Teaching 2026-2027

Tuition Fee for Non-EEA students

The tuition fee (A or B) consists of the fixed amount and a standard tuition fee + a higher tuition fee set by the faculty.
The tuition can differ from one faculty to another.

Tuition Fee A

Standard tuition fee (€ 305.40 fixed amount + € 17.70 per credit) + higher tuition fee (€ 15.50 per credit)
For 60 credits: € 2297.40

Tuition Fee B

Standard tuition fee (€ 305.40 fixed amount + € 31 per credit) + higher tuition fee (€ 81.90 per credit)
For 60 credits: € 7079.40

  • Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
  • Faculty of Economics and Business Administration
  • Faculty of Veterinary Medicine
  • Faculty of Bioscience Engineering
  • Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Faculty of Political and Social Sciences:
    Students who were already enrolled in the AY 2024-25 and re-enrolled in the AY 2025-26 will continue paying the tuition fee A one last time in the AY 2026-2027.
    Students with a first registration via diploma contract for a programme in the AY 2025-2026 or the AY 2026-2027 in the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences and who have the nationality from one of the countries on this list of countries pay the tuition fee B with a 100% waiver on the higher tuition fee.

Tuition Fee for EEA-students and non-EEA-students who pay the same tuition fee as EEA-students

The tuition fee consists of the standard tuition fee as for EEA-students (diploma or credit contract):
  • € 305.40 fixed amount + € 14.60 per credit. For 60 credits: € 1181.40
  • € 139.40 (flat fee) for students with a study allowance Flemish Community ("Studietoelage Vlaamse overheid")
  1. Electronic Residence Card (mentioned in Art. II.215 Codex Higher Education)
  2. Applicants for international protection (persons with a legal residence but who's application for international protection is still pending with the government) pay the tuition fee as for EEA-students with no study allowance from the Flemish government.  Certificate of Immatriculation (orange card) + annex 26 is needed (valid at enrolment or before 31/12 of the AY). 
  3. Non-EEA students with a temporary status of protection (rule is valid until the 4th of March 2026).  A-card is needed (valid at enrolment or before 31/12 of the AY).
  4. Non-EEA students who are a first degree relative of a national of a member state of the European Economic Area (valid at enrolment or before 31/12 of the AY).
  5. VLIR-UOS scholarship holders - UGent document needed upon enrolment
  6. Student from OESO/DAC recognised developing country (lowest 2 categories)
