MSc. Esther Cepeda Gamella is a PhD researcher for the BELSPO-INSITE project OUTFLOW (Quantifying the cOntribUTion of Fouling fauna to the Local carbon budget of an Offshore Windfarm) between the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences and Gent University (Marine Biology Research Group and Isotope Bioscience Laboratory). Her research aims to assess, using stable isotopes, the effect of large densities of fouling fauna on wind turbines in offshore wind farms in the surrounding habitats.
