The Symposium will focus on new developments in all aspects of crop protection. The programme will include a plenary session with two invited speakers: Dr. ANTONIO VICENT (IVIA, Moncada València, Spain): "Pest Introductions and Crop Protection in Europe: Plant Health at a Crossroads" and Dr. THOMAS DUBOIS (ICIPE, Nairobi, Kenya): "Crop protection in the tropics: challenges and opportunities for smallholder farmers in sub-Saharan Africa"

and several parallel sessions with submitted papers related to the following subjects:

• Agricultural Entomology and Acarology
• Nematology
• Phytopathology
• Herbology

• Formulation and Application Technology

• Pesticide Residues: Toxicology and Ecotoxicology

• Special session: Tropical Crop Protection
