PhD scholarship recipient

Alice Haddad started her doctoral research at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the University of Ghent in 2019. Her research project focuses on contemporary architecture exhibitions as vehicles for architectural culture and catalysts towards architecture policy.

She graduated from ISACF La Cambre and the Faculty of Architecture La Cambre – Horta / Université Libre de Bruxelles, and followed a cursus in Visual Arts, Media and Architecture at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Prior to joining UGent, she (co-)initiated independent investigations, such as the artistic research project "Dialogue avec l’autre" and the curatorial project "Perhaps it is high time for a xeno-architecture to match", and enriched her professional experience through various positions held within international art/architecture institutions and organisations, among them Rotondes (LU), Archis Foundation/Volume Magazine (NL), the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CA), and Architecture Workroom Brussels (BE).
