Wouter Devriese continuously explores the boundaries of technology and creativity. With genuine curiosity, he has expanded his knowledge from a master's degree in industrial sciences electronics to the software innovations at imec. Years of experience have taught him to look at problems from a user-centric perspective and understand the role of technology in this.

At LUCA School of Arts, he researched the tension between technology (AI & VR), art, and design.

Now, at imec, he builds systems that ensure new technologies can emerge from the lab and investigates what is desirable and feasible.

As a visiting professor in the department of industrial design, he teaches the course "Emerging Technologies," where he shares his broad passion and provides insight into future developments and how we can deal with them.
