Education Industrial Engineer Industrial Design

The research group design.nexus is closely linked to the study program of Industrial Design Engineers at the UGent Campus in Kortrijk.

The Industrial Design Engineers (IO) design new products or improve existing products and services. This process of innovation is a crucial factor for companies and an industrial designer is an important motor in this process. The program Industrial Design is unique in Belgium. Students are trained as polyvalent and application-oriented industrial engineers and are introduced to all aspects of industrial design. They learn to apply all these aspects in practice in various design assignments, often in cooperation with various companies.

<h2>Transfer to the education</h2> <p>Professors and Researchers of design.nexus are also responsible for many different subjects and modules within the education program. As such knowledge is directly transferred from our research group to the designers and engineers of tomorrow.</p>
