Impressions iWISE 1st sem '25-'26

🎉 A Look Back at iWISE – First Semester 2025–2026

Here’s a glimpse into our iWISE introduction days, where we welcomed 145 new international exchange and degree students to the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (FEA)!

The programme was designed to prepare students in three key areas:

• Academic life at FEA: including meetings with programme coordinators, explanations about their curriculum and the Education and Examination Code (OER), and an introduction to essential ICT platforms like Ufora.
• Living in Ghent and Belgium: with sessions on cultural differences, mobility, waste sorting, and even a crash course in Dutch.
• Social integration: through an international Meet & Greet lunch and a fun city game to wrap up the week.

Thanks to this well-rounded welcome week, the international students kicked off their engineering studies feeling informed, connected, and inspired. The mix of practical info, social activities, and engaging projects ensured a smooth transition into university life.
