Bulcha Belay Etana obtained his PhD

The title of his PhD thesis is "Design and Development of Optimal Smart Textile Systems for sEMG Monitoring".

This dissertation investigates the development of smart textiles for wearable muscle monitoring via surface electromyography (sEMG) and identifies the best method to reduce skin-electrode impedance while maximizing comfort. The electrodes were designed using different stitch types and a sandwich structure, utilizing advanced embroidery technology.
