Solemn Proclamation of the Graduated Pharmacists and Masters FFW

When

The graduation ceremony will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 7:30 PM in the Leon De Meyer auditorium, UFO campus. 

Doors open at 6:00 PM.

Check-in / Access to campus UFO

Promovendi JMFAZO / JMGEMI / JMPHEN

Promovendi JMFAZO / JMGEMI / JMPHEN should initially register with their registration card (see invitation) at the check-in desk/registration area (incheckbalie / aanmeldingszone), located at the UFO campus entrance on the Vooruit side.

You will receive the following items:

  • 4 wristbands: 1 for the student, (max.) 3 for the invited guests. 
  • 4 program booklets.

After receiving your wristband, you and your invited guests may enter the UFO campus.

At the entrance of the auditorium, your wristband will be checked. Only a person with a wristband will be admitted to the ceremony.

Promovendi JMDISC / Internship supervisors / Faculty guests

JMDISC promovendi, internship supervisors and faculty guests should report to the information point (infopunt) at the main entrance to the Ufo campus, on the Sint-Pietersplein side.

At the information point, after passing a check, you will receive a program booklet and the necessary wristbands.

After receiving your documents, you and your guests can enter the Ufo campus.

At the entrance of the auditorium, you will be checked for a wristband. Only those wearing a wristband will be admitted to the ceremony.

Toga

  • All graduates are invited to wear a master’s gown during the ceremony, following the long-standing tradition observed at many international universities.
  • The gown is provided free of charge for the duration of the ceremony.
  • You can collect your gown and cap on the UFO campus, near the Vooruit side, between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM. Your identity card will be required as a deposit.
  • After the ceremony, please return the gown in good condition to the lending desk during the reception, after which your identity card will be returned to you. You have one hour to return your gown. The stand will be dismantled after one hour.
  • The graduation cap, featuring the graduation year, is yours to keep after the ceremony.

Access Auditorium

Access to the auditorium is via three entrances, each marked with a unique color code.

The color of your wristband corresponds to the entrance you use to enter the auditorium.

Your wristband will be checked before entry. If you register at the wrong entrance, you will be directed to the correct one.

Diploma

After the graduation ceremony, PhD candidates can collect their diplomas at their respective stands inside the UFO campus, near the Vooruit entrance.
Pharmacists who have completed their doctorates can also pick up their oath scroll (Oath of Maimonides) and a pharmacist's pin in the same area.
You have one hour to do this. After that, the stands will be dismantled.
If you are unable to attend your graduation ceremony, you can collect your Master’s degree from the Student Centre from one week after the ceremony: Diploma — Studentenportaal — Universiteit Gent.
