The training module 'Biostatistics' as part of the 'Faculty Research Training Program' includes the following training courses.
The learning objectives of this training module are to learn to analyse your own (bio)medical data using appropriate statistical methods and to interpret the results of the statistical analysis.

Doctoral School course: Starting with R
- Aim: Get familiar with R progressively with expert guidance, to use R for data visualisation and statistical analysis of your research.
- Format:Specialist Course Doctoral School
- Guest speakers: Roos Colman, Ineke van Gremberghe, Carlos Murillo, Biostatistics Unit, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Ghent University
- Organiser: Biostatistics Unit
- Language: The course will be given in Dutch but the slides are in English for edition 1 and 3, edition 2 will be given in English.

Doctoral School course: Analysis of clustered and longitudinal data in R
- Aim: In this more advanced course, researchers are introduced to the analysis of clustered and longitudinal data in R. Experience with R and basic knowledge of linear and logistic regression are expected.
