Library Committee

The Faculty Library Committee (FBC) brings together the representatives of all library users involved within the faculty (ZAP, AAP, WP, ATP and students) as well as the staff members responsible for the operation of the Faculty Library Arts and Philosophy.

The following topics are discussed:

  • the library policy, including the relationship with the IFBC (Interfacultaire Bibliotheek Commissie), the central University Library (the 'Boekentoren'), the faculty and the departmental libraries
  • library funding
  • the purchasing policy and the collection, including the selection and acquisition of publications and databases bought on the central collection credit of Arts and Philosophy
  • the registration and digitalisation of the collection
  • the (new) infrastructure
  • the services, including opening hours, instructions, new services, ...
