Ghent University’s Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Core unites leading experts from diverse omics fields, offering early access to state-of-the-art sequencing and proteomics infrastructure that drives transformative research.

By integrating cutting-edge approaches to study (epi)genomes, transcriptomes, and proteomes—including single-cell analyses—we enable innovative, interdisciplinary investigations across the life science domain. 

Our interdisciplinary, interfaculty, and international collaborations, anchored at UGent and extending to research partners worldwide, span breakthrough research in cancer diagnostics, human and animal genetics, drug target discovery, reproductive medicine, immunology, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) biodistribution, ecotoxicoloy, and more. This comprehensive expertise drives innovations that bridge laboratory insights to clinical applications.
