Before starting my 3-year FWO project ‘The Self in Autism’ (in collaboration with Prof Wiersema and Prof Brass), I worked together with Prof Geoff Bird, spending two years as a Newton International Fellow at King’s College London, on a project entitled ‘Investigating the self in self-other control: the neural basis of (overcoming) egocentric bias’.

Generally, my research interests focus on the behavioural and neural processes underlying how we engage and interact with others, and how we distinguish the ‘self’ from the ‘other’. I am particularly interested in the similarities and differences in these processes between individuals with autism and neurotypical individuals.

I also have a passion for science communication (see more on my personal website).
