Emma Beuckels

My fascination for persuasive communication started during my masters studies of Communication Sciences at the Ghent University. Shortly after graduating in 2015, I started as a PhD student at the very same university. Ever since, I thoroughly investigate media multitasking behavior and advertising effectiveness, through the use of experimental research and innovative software and technics, such as eye-tracking systems.

PhD Project

A few months after graduating, I obtained a grant from the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO). This permitted me to start working as a CEPEC PhD student in January 2016. My PhD project investigates advertising effectiveness within a media multitasking context and runs until December 2020.
