Elective courses

Students are able to customise their education through elective courses.

  • In the third year of the Bachelor programme the student has to pick at least five and no more than seven credits at Ghent University or at another Flemish university. Taking a language course is also possible.
  • In each of the specialisations the student has to choose between some elective courses. These count towards about one third of the total credits. Each specialisation has a varied list with elective courses tailored towards those fields. An internship is also possible.
  • In the linking and preparation programmes students take the elective courses best suited towards their future specialization in the Master.

“It’s an ideal Master if you’re following a linking programme. After doing a professional Bachelor, it gives you that extra ounce needed to conquer the labour market.”
