Niko Vandebos

Niko Vandebos is a teaching assistant and PhD researcher at the Department of Political Science. She holds a bachelor's degree in Public Administration and Management (UGent, 2020) and master's degrees in Conflict and Development Studies (UGent, 2022) and Political Communication (UAntwerpen, 2023). Her research focuses on shrinking (or contested) civic spaces for civil society, social movements, and democratic backsliding. As a TA, Niko is also involved in several courses of the bachelor and master program in Political Science.
