Samira Azabar
Dr. Samira Azabar is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Higher Education Governance Ghent (CHEGG). She received her PhD from the Department of Political Science, University of Antwerp, in May 2023. She holds a BSc in Sociology and a MSc in Sociology from University of Antwerp.
Her research focuses on the polical agency of minorities in racialized countries, gender and sexuality attitudes among Muslims and the ways in which minorities resist dominant frameworks. At CHEGG, she examines the balancing strategies Higher Education Institutions adopt when navigating decisions about maintaining of cutting ties with Israeli institutions.
