Frederik Rogiers

Frederik Rogiers graduated as a Master in Law (magna cum laude) at Ghent University in 2020 before being admitted to the Specialized Master in International Law at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, from which he graduated in 2021 (summa cum laude). During his studies, he focused primarily on public international law in its many aspects, showing particular interest in law of the sea, as evidenced by his Master Thesis on the regime of the extended continental shelf. In Brussels, he was a member of the team representing the ULB in the Manfred Lachs International Space Law Moot Court Competition. During his Master at Ghent University, he was also active as a student representative.

In September 2021, Frederik returned to Ghent University and joined the Department of European, Public and International Law as an assistant and PhD researcher. In this role, he supports the subsequent master program MSc in Maritime Science, organized by Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, the Port Management Program and assists with bachelor and master courses on general international public law and law of the sea.
