(29-09-2025) Since 1 September 2025, Mrs Chiara Logghe has joined GIPLI as a PhD candidate in intellectual property law. In the next months, she will work out her research proposal for the next four years.

Chiara obtained her Master of Laws degree (summa cum laude) at Ghent University in July 2024. Her interests lie primarily in intellectual property law, corporate law, commercial law, and common law. She wrote an excellent master's thesis on the enforceability of punitive damages and is considering building her future research in this area. Thanks to generous support by the Ghent University Special Research Fund (BOF), Chiara will be working at GIPLI as a predoctoral fellow until August 2029.
