13th EARNet Symposium

Prof Vander Bauwhede was invited by Prof Kris Hoang to serve as a panelist on Institutional and Community Leadership at the first Earnet Early-to-Mid-Career Faculty Workshop preceding the 13th EARNet Symposium at Vienna University of Economics and Business the past month.

She also had the pleasure of discussing the insightful paper by Monika Causholli, Tyler Kleppe, and Wenyin Li on Audit Firm Flexible Work Arrangements and Audit Quality.
Many thanks to the EARNet Symposium hosts (Ewald Aschauer, Markus Isack, and Klaus Hirschler) and the program committee (Kris Hardies, Lasse Niemi, and Jochen Theis) for making the symposium such a success.

ESARC conference

Delphine Lobijn presented her second paper co-authored with Philippe Van Cauwenberge, Ann Vanstraelen and Heidi Vander Bauwhede at the 2nd European Sustainability Accounting and Reporting Conference (ESARC). The paper examines the extent to which sustainability assurance affects the audit fee premium associated with climate-related risks.
