Improved emulsification with polyglycerol polyricinoleate (PGPR)

(31-08-2023) PGPR is a low-HLB emulsifier with excellent surface activity.

To understand the different interfacial characteristics between commercially available PGPRs added to W/O emulsions, Chunxia Su investigated their properties by time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TOF-MS), gas chromatography (GC), drop shape tensiometry, quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring (QCM-D) and the depletion method.
