kelly Winobo  Vandemoortele awards 2023MSc student Kelly Kristabel Wibowo receives the 2023 Vandemoortele Plant-based Foods award. She obtained this competitive award for her master thesis entitled ‘The influence of heat treatment on the foaming properties of oat-based drinks’, promoted by prof. Bruno De Meulenaer and prof. Paul Van der Meeren.

The master thesis was evaluated as being of high scientific quality, combining different chemical and physicochemical analytical techniques for gaining insight in how processing impacts product functionality in plant-based foams.
