Determining the integrity and strength assessment of pressure vessels such as pipelines and other components (heat exchangers, accumulators, …) by means of internal pressure testing. The importance is to show that the product can achieve the project specified requirements without failure (leak) or excessive deformation through a fit-for-purpose assessment.
Throughout its lifetime, these components are inherently subjected to pressure fluctuations originating from regular working conditions e.g. start-stops, pumping stations… Additionally, various features such as mechanical damage and corrosion might be introduced during operation or fabrication. Validation of pressurized components after fabrication (prior to operation) or after many years of service is essential to ensure safe operation in the future.

- 1% accurate by a control loop with active feedback allows for increased rate of testing.
