David about his experience at the FEB
I choose to study at Ghent University on account of the well-regarded faculty and because Ghent is a very nice city to live in. I would describe my study experience at the faculty and my time in Ghent as: exciting. Everything is well managed and the people are nice.
What I learned from the master’s programme I followed is economics, programming, statistics, math. I really enjoyed the program. It was hard work, but this totally paid off. The way of working is a little bit different from the way it goes in the Netherlands. But nothing you can’t get used to. I looked for jobs in both Belgium as well as the Netherlands. This was challenging due to COVID. Luckily, I learned a lot of relevant skills during my masters which, in the end, allowed me to find a job relatively fast. My major financial economics is very relevant at my current job.
